Great news come today from the online stores too, since the Blu-ray release for the 2012 Type Moon Festival (held July 7 – 8, 2012) contains juicy Yuki Kajiura and Kalafina performances!

The release will contain:

  • 2 BD discs with the main event divided in 5 “programs”:

    1st Program: Live Yuki Kajiura (FictionJunction (secret guest) performs the beginning of the end, the battle is to the strong), 2nd Program: Fate / Zero (determining best scene), 3rd Program: Carnival Phantasm, 4th Program: Hibichika Radio (Popularity poll), 5th Program: Songs

    Kalafina at the event performed all 8 songs of the Kara no Kyoukai movies (oblivious, Kimi ga hikari ni kaete yuku, Kizuato, Aria, sprinter, fairytale, seventh heaven, snow falling) as well as Fate/Zero‘s to the beginning, and manten, and are all going to be included along with Haruna Luna’s Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau

    • Other artists whose performances are included are: LR harmony (Super☆Affection, From new world. THIS ILLUSION -10th moon harmony-), Faylan (mind as Judgment」), LiSA (oath sign), Aoi Eir (MEMORIA).

Madoka Movies Commemoration ~Kalafina Studio Live & Interview & PV~

It has been announced by the Kalafina official site that in commemoration of the Madoka Magica Movie screening there will be streamed a studio live, interview, and Hikari Furu PV screening via nicovideo!
The Hikari Furu PV will be aired for the first time on this program, so be sure to not miss it! Kalafina will also perform it live!

To watch the streaming you can create an account on the English version of nicovideo and login with it in the japanese site. You can also reserve the streaming for later in case you cant watch it live, instruction here

Yuki Kajiura wins “Best Soundtrack” annual award by Newtype

According to Anime News Network, Yuki Kajiura has received the “Best Soundtrack” award for the Fate/Zero soundtrack in the 2nd Newtype Annual Anime Awards. This is indeed an exceptional moment, even if it’s by a magazine and not an Oscar or Cannes scale 😀 CONGRATULATIONS Kajiura-san!!

Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Newtype magazine established the annual award contest in 2011, and any anime released between October 2011 and July 2012 was eligible. Visitors to Newtype’s site could vote for the different categories. The awards were presented during a ceremony at the Machi Asobi Vol. 9 event in Tokushima on Sunday. New BGM, Mirai sample on Madoka movies footage

On a video probably from a Japanese anime related show, there are shown various scenes from the new Madoka movies (which will premiere worldwide in 18 cities of 8 countries and Japan) , and during it you can hear sample of the new ClariS song “Luminous”, brand new BGMs, Kalafina version of Credens Justitiam (probably “Mirai”) as well as a new sample of Magia [quattro]!!
