Does someone knows the kajiurago lyrics of old fashioned fairytale? I know it probably doesn’t matter that much because they don’t have any meaning but still I want to know the words so much 🙁
This OST poll was tough–‘Prin-Prin’ is my favorite for this year, as Fate/Zero–although a great favorite,is a few years old. ‘Zaregoto’ OST is very cool too,though–this is like asking a mum who her favorite child is, cuz they’re all amazing!
I don’t if this is an unpopular opinion or actually a popular one, but I rather have Kalafina “disbanding” or resigning from Spacecraft and work with Kajiura again using whatever their new name will be instead of them staying as Kalafina and doing others’ songs.
Its better the way its going now, Kajiura was clearly out of ideas for new Kalafina songs, and had exhausted all voice combinations and arrangement styles. After all was her longest jpop project. Its time for a new start for both. If needed Hikaru can join FictionJunction which will still be under Kajiura as things seem to turn out.
I don’t know about “better the way it’s going now”, george. I mean Hyakka Ryouran single is rather good. A few recent releases fell rather mediocre most probably because of tight deadlines and schedule, I don’t know, so there was not much to do about finding the “new and fresh” sounds we’re hoping. But Kalafina with different producer when their direction is clearly doing anime soundtracks? It’s a dreadful thought.
They dont really do soundtracks rather than OP and ED themes, and at worst they are going to sound a bit more generic than some of their songs (ttb, heavenly blue, believe) have already sounded like. Its not the end of the world. Kajiura will still be around and she will be mainly using FJ from now on, and it has Keiko and Wakana in there, Hikaru can join later. Some of their songs have already sounded Kalafina like eternal blue and distance. So it ll be a sneaking swap of record labels but with less lives.

The studio version does have kajiurago. It’s just that it has some heavy filters over Kajiura’s voice that it’s hard to make out what she’s singing. And in the last part the instrumental is louder than the vocals.
I desperately hope Yuki releases Fiction 3 now that Kalafina is disbanded. She could finally release the Eri Itoh song from Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations, she could do updated renditions of old classics like In the Land of Twilight Under the Moon (which was not mixed well originally IMO). There’s a ton of songs she could remix and expand from their original short soundtrack versions like Moon and Shadow, She Has to Overcome her Fear, Let the Stars Fall Down, etc.
I would prefer a new “works for soundtracks” there are ton of unreleased materials like madlax ost 3, xenosaga a missing year, tokyo revelations, HnK toki den and zero den movie osts…. While fiction 3 will have only 4 Kajiurago. And let the starts fall down is explanded to Manten 😋
