Yuki Kajiura Concert Updates

Posted , Updated

In a new post, Yuki announced that Yuri Kasahara will be performing at Dream Port 2008, adding to the growing list that already includes Yuriko Kaida, Kalafina, FictionJunction YUUKA / KEIKO / WAKANA / KAORI, and all of Sound Horizon. She has added a new section titled ++live!++ to her site, www.fictionjunction.com. She has also announced the instrumental musicians that will be accompanying her to each performance. I recognize at least some of the names from credits on Yuki’s soundtracks.

Yuki Kajiura LIVE Vol 1

Vocal:KAORI / KEIKO / WAKANA / 貝田由里子
Guitar:是永巧一
Bass:高橋“Jr”知治
Drums:野崎真助
Violin:藤堂昌彦
Manipulator:大平佳男

Dream Port 2008 (Kajiura side)

Vocal:Kalafina / KAORI / KEIKO / WAKANA / YUUKA / 貝田由里子 / 笠原由里
Guitar:是永巧一
Bass:高橋“Jr”知治
Drums:野崎真助
Violin:今野均
Manipulator:大平佳男

She also mentions that there will not be many live performances of Kajiuran (she uses the term “梶浦語” – Kajiurago) and non-Japanese songs. This is interesting, as most of Yuri Kasahara’s songs, I think, fit into those two categories. More information (dates, locations) on the concerts can be found on this page.

Kalafina Remix Single: [Re/oblivious]

Posted , Updated

Holy craaapppppp I posted this last night and then the server died again and now I have to repost and i stayed up to 2am for nothing T_T Anyways hopefully there will be no more downtime and no more erasing stuff. The recent posts on the main site and forum all got erased. I’m trying to restore everything manually right now, but I don’t think there’s anything I can do about the forum.

ANYHOW… Yuki Kajiura announced in her blog last night that there will be a remix of the Oblivious single, by Kalafina, released on April 23, 2008. She calls it a remix/retake of the three songs, and it will be her first time doing a pure remix release. Good luck, Yuki!

Further information posted on Sony’s Kalafina mailing list revealed that the mini-remix album will include a remix of oblivious, and an acoustic arrange version of Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete Yuku. It does not mention Kizuato, but does state that the single will be 12 minutes long.

Yuki also announced that Kalafina will be performing at all three shows of Dream Port 2008 – the concert collaboration with Revo/Sound Horizon. FictionJunction YUUKA had been confirmed as a guest earlier. (The third concert was announced just recently, probably after overflowing ticket sales XD) The performances will be on April 29, May 5, and May 15, and more information can be found on the Upcoming Works/Events page.
