Just a week after the release of Kalafina’s 6th single “progressive”, the 7th single has already been announced.

The new single’s title is Hikari no Senritsu (Melody of Light) and it will be Opening Theme of TV Tokyo and Aniplex’s new joint project, the anime “Sora no Woto” (Click for the official site). The music of the anime will be scored by the composer Michiru Ooshima, with Yuki Kajiura producing the Kalafina single.

FictionJunction Club announced the 1st Kalafina LIVE TOUR!! It will take place in February in the Japanese cities of Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. More Details:

Kazado found the Progressive PV! I’m not sure if this was ripped from TV, but if I find out that it’s not supposed to be public at this time (e.g. if it’s a DVD rip), I will take the video down.

Kalafina also announced today that they will be performing at NHK 「MUSIC JAPAN」Shinseiki Anisong SP 2. They will appear alongside other anime musicians including ELISA, JAM Project, Ai Nakajima, Hatsune Miku Orchestra, Yui Horie, Nana Mizuki, and May’n. Music Japan will be filmed on November 12, 2009 and broadcasted January 10, 2010.

Hi everyone! I normally don’t use this space for things other than relevant news, but I’m going to break my own rules today and announce the release of two new sections on the site: Live Events, and the Gallery!

Live Events – The result of countless hours of hard work by george1234! This is a listing of all known official performances, including YK Live, Kalafina, FictionJunction, See-Saw, and more. Click each event to see the set list of songs performed at the event.

Gallery – A community effort, where users can upload and browse photos from official material, live events, and blog posts. Users must register in order to post photos, but anyone can browse and download. The gallery manager is maxwell9.

There has also been a rearrangement of the sidebar for more concise browsing: Music downloads, Video downloads and Fan Works have been grouped together in a new section called Media & Downloads, which is accessible through the sidebar. Our next big update will be the official sheet music bookshelf, which we had actually completed before the hack >_<. I'll now take this chance to remind everyone that FictionJunction YUUKA ～Yuki Kajiura LIVE Vol.#4 PART1～ was released yesterday, and is absolutely AMAZING <3.
