New official Kajiura sheet music book released!

This totally went under our radar as we just found out today that a new sheet music collection featuring the works of Yuki Kajiura was released last Friday! The sheets are arranged by the same people who did the previous books. In addition to some previously released songs, this book has new titles from Madoka, The Works for Soundtrack, and Fiction II!

Yuki Kajiura Live vol.#8 & more Kalafina merchandise now at CDJapan!

A few days ago, was announced via the FJC Mail to the FJC members that the Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#8 will have 3 concerts at 2 Japanese cities , Tokyo and Osaka, from March 16 to April 08, 2012. We are not sure if we should expect a BD/DVD release, though there hasn’t been one since volume 4.

In other news, CDJapan has now made available another set of merchandise from last year’s events! They include tableware from Kalafina Cafe, and concert merchandise from the Nihongo Fuin Live (the one where they banned Japanese language songs XD). The T-shirts feature the official Kajiurago lyrics of ‘Mezame‘, while the bottles and tote bag show a couple lines from ‘Zodiacal Sign‘.

There are approximately 9 or 10 of each item in stock, and as usual with leftover event merchandise, the stock will not be refilled once they are sold out so if you know you want something, it’s best to order it ASAP!

In addition, ninetales last week translated 2 interviews, the first is the FictionJunction interview on Animate TV about Parallel Hearts (Click here to view) and the second is a Kalafina interview on Vinyl Syndicate, where they talk about clothes (Click here to view). 『Fate/Zero』 Blu-ray Disc Box I with OST 1 announced!

The Fate/Zero official site has updated with the details for the first Blu-ray Box set that will contain the 13 episodes of the first half of the series and various un-aired cut scenes will be included in them. The episodes will have subtitles in English and Japanese. The Original Soundtrack vol. 1, composed by Yuki Kajiura will be bundled as a Bonus CD. Other Bonuses include Fate/Zero Animation Material (Interviews, production notes, and concept artwork), Trailer Collection (Album Vol.1, 2nd promo video), TV SPOT (7 CMs), Non-Credit Opening and Ending, and a Drama CD.The Box will be drawn by Takashi Takeuchi. The package will retail at ¥39,900 (tax included), and will be released on March 7, 2012.

Yuki Kajiura to compose Odoroki! Tikyuu! Great Nature main theme + other news

According to Yuki Kajiura’s official site, she will compose the main theme for NHK’s 「Odoroki!Tikyuu!Great Nature」 documentary series, which will start airing on October 11, 2011. In the past Yuki had composed the main theme for another 3 episodes of the “Great Nature” series, for the “Taikan! Great Nature” documentary which aired last spring.

Additionally the Fate/Zero anime for which Yuki scores the music started airing last week with a 47mins length first episode with lots of new musics! You can watch it from nicovideo if you have an account (you can create one on their English site and use the pass to login in the japanese one). Every episode will be available on the site subtitled in English and 7 other languages for a week. It has also become known that the 2nd half of the series (14-25) will air in spring instead of winter.

In other news, Kalafina are invited to perform at “Festival of East Earthquake Reconstruction 2011 – For the Future of Children – ” a charity festival with drama and concerts to gather money for the children victims of the earthquake and tsunami of March 11. The event will have concerts in 2 days 28 and 29 October. Kalafina will perform at October 29, 2011 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium (2nd Gymnasium) Line up for October 29 apart fom Kalafina include Sphere, Faylan, Yui Makino, Yousei Teikoku, and Chihiro Yonekura. Kalafina for the first time in Singapore (at AFA 2011)!

According to the official website of Anime Festival Asia 2011 (aka AFA 2011) (November 11-13) which this year will be held in Singapore, Kalafina are among the guests of the event! This is the first time that Kalafina will go at Singapore. They will perform on November 13th, at the SUNTEC Convention & Exhibition Hall,Singapore in the “I Love anisong” concert.

Other artists that are also invited are LiSA (will perform the OP theme for Fate/Zero), FLOW, May’n, Ichirou Mizuki, Hatsune Miku. There will be also invited the producer of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Fate/Zero Atsuhiro Iwakami, as well as Chiwa Saitou voice actress of Akemi Homura.

In other news, a Korean version of Kalafina’s 3rd album After Eden has been spotted at yesasia. According to the site, it will be released in Korea at October 11, 2011, and is available for preorder (although it doesn’t seem to have anything different than the Japanese version.).
