Yuki Kajiura today has announced that she will be composing the music for the TV anime The Case Study of Vanitas, adapted from a manga of the creator of Pandora Hearts, Jun Mochizuki.

The anime is produced by animation studio BONES, with Tomoyuki Itamura (Nisemonogatari, Owarimonogatari, Tsukimonogatari) as director, Yoshiyuki Ito as the character designer and chief animation director, Kazuhiro Wakabayashi as sound director.

Rumors revolving around The Book of Vanitas, a clockwork grimoire of dubious reputation, draw Noé, a young vampire in search of a friend’s salvation, to Paris. What awaits him in the City of Flowers, however, is not long hours treading the pavement or rifling through dusty bookshops in search of the tome. Instead, his quarry comes to him…in the arms of a man claiming to be a vampire doctor! Thrust into a conflict that threatens the peace between humans and vampires, will Noé cast in his lot with the curious and slightly unbalanced Vanitas and his quest to save vampirekind?

The anime will begin airing on japanese TV channels on July 3 (Saturday), 2021! Below you can see the PV:

In other news, about 3 weeks ago, at the 10th anniversary online event for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime, was revealed that a new Madoka Magica movie is in the works, as sequel of the Rebellion movie, with all the staff and cast returning and of course, Yuki Kajiura on the music! The movie is titled Gekijōban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten (Turning the Tide of Walpurgis).

Today, AIMER has announced during her online concert earlier today that Yuki Kajiura has composed a new song “wonderland” for her 6th album “Walpurgis” to be released on April 14, 2021. The album will also contain “Haru wa Yuku”.

In other news, Yuki Kajiura has announced that she will continue to compose for the SAO anime franchise, namely the SAO Progressive movie.

Futhermore, the soundtrack of the third FSN HF “spring song” movie will come (as usual) bundled with the Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] III. spring song Limited Edition Blu-ray to be released on March 31, 2020.

LiSA’s Homura single was released 2 days ago on October 14, containing the title song Homura = Flame, composed by Yuki Kajiura, that will be used as theme song for the Kimetsu no Yaiba movie Mugen Train.
