Title: アレルヤ (Alleluia | Hallelujah | Αλληλούια: From the Hebrew word הללו יה which means “Praise Yah(weh)“). The term is used also to refer to a liturgical chant in which that word is combined with verses of Scripture, usually from the Psalms. This chant is commonly used before the proclamation of the Gospel.

mirai wa kimi ni yasashii darou ka
midori no ame ga kimi wo nurasu made

yukeru darou ka

subete ga shizuka ni

Until the green rain gets you wet,
I wonder if the future would be kind to you?
I wonder if you could go
straight ahead,
straight ahead?
Till the day everything burns quietly,
I wonder if you would be able to cry?
areruya
inori wa doko ni mo
todokazu kieusete
bokura wa
uzukumatta mama
yoake wo yarisugoshite

Alleluia
Our prayers vanished without reaching anywhere.
We continue to cower till the dawn passes us by.

bokura wa yuku
We’ll head towards the light.
We’ll head towards the light.
Surely we’ll go on struggling and cry again and again,
But we’ll go on….we’ll go on…

If I hold your hand that’s so small,
there’s a shine so bright that it hurts,
while wishing to leave you only happy memories,
until the day they disappear without a meaning.

Believe that the time comes for every life to sing
Raising our hands and dancing in the rain

We’re laughing,
let’s keep laughing.
We’ll cut a path in this sea of tears.
We’re going to the future.
We’re going to the future.

  1. Amphetamine salts says:

You hear “aria” as opposed to “ahhhh” in the intro kajiura-go?

  2. george1234 says:

No, its 2 different things, Yuriko first says “aria” and then “aaah”. To find out for yourself, open alleluia in audacity and then use the ‘vocal remover’ filter (try one of the 2 first vocal removing options in the menu of the filter) this will make the background vocal clearer.

  3. Amphetamine salts says:

    0:12 It’s “Sonti mia”
    0:26 It’s “ahh”.
    Where do you hear “aria”

  4. george1234 says:

its not just me hearing it but a second person too, please try listening again carefull after doing the process I suggested before.

  5. Kilaron says:

I love this! I always find myself smiling while listening to it. Partly because it’s been some time since Keiko was the main act. 🙂

  6. Getsuyuki says:

Yeah there is indeed an “aria” at the beginning. george1234 isn’t wrong!

Thanks for posting the lyrics, I love this song so much.

  7. May says:

um. what about the aria ah before hikaru’s solo? I didn’t hear any aria at that part. only areruya three times. o_oa

  8. Ningrum says:

chiisa na inochi wo ? is that right ?
I hear “chiisa na inowo chwo”

  9. ritaro says:

    ^
i lol-ed so hard at the comment below mine.

inochi could be spelled/read as inoch (the -i was read, but it doesn’t clear), and to keep up with the beat, Hikaru sang it as like that. and there’s no language in this world that have inowo chwo as something in their vocabulary, lol. You shouldn’t believe what you hear, but read the kanji provided in the booklet. that’s the official lyrics.

  10. BitterSnow says:

Ah, it’s like an anthem for all Kara no Kyoukai fans! I love the lyrics, the melody, everything!
As expected of a song made by Yuki Kajiura!

  11. Martin Leonard Sarte says:

I’m a rationalist but I don’t know why but this song somewhat makes me remember that there is a religion. I love this song, thats all
