Madoka OST has been found…

Posted , Updated

… hiding in a ¥6,300 special edition DVD ;_;

The Madoka Magica website has confirmed that the Limited Edition DVD/Blu-Ray of Puella Magi Madoka Magica Vol. 2 will contain, among other bonuses, the first volume of the official soundtrack composed by Yuki Kajiura. So far there has been no announcement of a standalone album for the series, although there are cases in which anime soundtracks get released with DVDs, and then separately after the anime ends.

Maho shojo Madoka Magika / Animation Title: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Vol. 2
Episodes: 3 and 4
Release: April 27, 2011
Catalog#: ANZB-9123(DVD), ANZX-9123(BD)

Click here for the CDJapan listing (or here for the BD). Note that the DVD is Region 2 (Japan, Europe, South Africa, and the Middle East) and may not work on all DVD players, and the episodes are not subbed. BD is region free.

Are you obsessive enough to take this home?
Or maybe it’s a better idea to wait (hope) for a standalone OST?

Thanks to Kazado!

Also, Fiction II is now available for Pre-order! We’ll post details as soon as they’re out.

Kalafina – Magia Interview [subbed]

Posted

Here is an *adorable* interview posted a few days ago by Kawaii Girl Japan. They talk about each other, singing, and the new Magia single. We don’t normally post interviews in news but this one was subbed in English just for us, the English speaking audience XD! For a huge list of translated and nontranslated interviews, check out our interviews section.

Magia will be released on the 16th of this month, and CDJapan has already shipped preorders!
If you still haven’t ordered a copy, now’s your chance :).

Kalafina – Magia LIVE

Posted , Updated

Back in December, Kalafina performed the full version of Magia at LisAni! Live 2010 before it was ever heard on TV! Now the full concert has been aired on TV for everyone to see. Check it out before Sony takes it down! I wonder why it’s called “promotion” when it’s on TV, but “piracy” when it’s on youtube? If you haven’t bought the CD yet, you can still pre-order all three versions although the First Press editions have sold out long ago (it will ship a couple days after release). Remember, pre-orders will contribute to Kalafina’s Oricon rankings! 🙂 And you’ll be supporting our site too.

But the spirit lives on… if you know where to look

We now also have affiliations with Play-Asia and YesAsia too!

Kalafina – Anna ni Issho Datta no ni

Posted , Updated

This isn’t really news but it’s just too awesome so I just had to share it for those who don’t visit the forum XDD (which you all totally should because there are often things that we can’t post as news but are still worth gushing over…hehe…).

Back in November there was an anime music event called ANIMAX MUSIX Fall 2010, where Kalafina performed anime songs with many other artists. In addition to their own, they also performed this special Kajiura-arranged version of See-Saw‘s classic Anna ni Issho Datta no ni. It was a live event, but just aired on TV this week.

They also covered Yuzurenai Negai with ELISA.

Okay, it’s back to studying for me!!
Oh, and if you missed the last few posts because our RSS was broken after the move, make sure to check them out 🙂
