Today it was announced that Yuki Kajiura will attend the special stage greeting event to express gratitude for the release of “Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht – Rising” The event will be held at Yokohama Buruku 13 and Kawasaki Cinecitta on August 30, 2026. According to the movie website, other panelists include Chiwa Saito, Yota Tsuruoka, Mitsutoshi Kubota.

Yesterday we got a heads up from someone attending AnimeExpo 2026 for this and today it was announced officially that Yuki Kajiura composed the theme song for RE:BEL ROBOTICA new anime by Mika Pikazo (animation production SliverLink). Its an original near-future science-fiction anime set in the Shibuya of 2050, the newly announced anime inherits the world of the original work (Doujin) while unfolding an all-new, anime-original story. Yuki Kajiura is composing the theme song/insert song while the OST is handle by Takumi Ozawa and Shiho Terada. The vocalist is most likely “Lily”s (MC) Voice Actress. (more info on ANN), The anime is planned to air in 2027.

In other news a new trailer for Magic Knight RayEarth TV anime (Clamp) where Yuki Kajiura composes the musicalong with again Takumi Ozawa and Shiho Terada, dropped at midnight. The anime is slatted to air in October 2026. It is a remake of the late 90s anime of same title.

Today it was announced that FictionJunction’s song “Kanata”for the PMMM Walpurgin no Kaiten movie will be released as a single, c/w Lighthouse (Madoka Magica Exedra theme). The physical release of the single will be September 2, 2026 while it will also come out on streaming platforms on August 28, same day as the release of the movie in Japan.
There will be RE and LE but the LE somehow has double price (?). Also there doesnt seem to be any short of karaoke or off-vocals like in the old days.

Last but not least, according to reports from goers at Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#22 〜precious pieces〜, the new BGM song for Magic Knights Reyearth and M06 from the upcoming Madoka movie were also performed. At midnight 28/6 Japan time another new trailer Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten was streamed on youtube! The trailer has alot more footage and dialogues from the movie, new bgm by Yuki Kajiura as well as sample for FictionJunction’s new theme song for the movie, titled 「彼方」 “Kanata” (Beyond) with Lino Leia returning as main vocalist after Lighthouse!

Today, the day of Welpurgis Night in Germany, came out new trailer for the Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten movie! The movie is set to release (after many delays) in Japanese theaters on August 28, 2026

Also there are updates to staff and cast pages. Apparently 2 new magical girls will appear in the theatrical film *Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgis Night*.
