New Kalafina song: Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa, + Kalafina Hong Kong visit

After a few days of rumors, Sony has confirmed that Kalafina will be performing an insert song for the upcoming anime, Kuroshitsuji II. Kalafina had performed the ending theme for the first season, Lacrimosa, last year. The new song is titled 輝く空の静寂には (Kagayaku sora no Shijima ni wa). However, they have not yet confirmed whether this song will be published as a single. Hopefully more details to come!

In addition, Kalafina will do a second visit to Hong Kong (the first was during the Asia Tour): They are invited and will perform at the Heatbeat Band Sound Competition 2010 together with other artists. Furthermore, as Sony announced, they will do a Red Moon concert , called Kalafina LIVE 2010 “Red Moon” in Hong Kong on August 6 (which is by coincidence Yuki’s birthday 🙂 ). Kalafina Piano Sheet Collection

The information sidebar on Yuki Kajiura’s blog has announced a new sheet music book for Kalafina songs. There will be a total of 16 songs in the 74-page book, some of which appear to be repeated from previous Yuki Kajiura Piano Solo collections though we don’t know whether the arranges will be identical.

Since our last post there have been more live dates posted. The Kalafina Red Moon tour is intermingled with the FictionJunction/YK Live tour dates, and a .hack event will occur shortly before the tour.

Kajiura Produce 3rd Anniversary LIVE TOUR Kalafina LIVE 2010 “Red Moon”
For promotion of Kalafina’s new album, Red Moon. Each concert will be held the day before the YK Live Vol. concert at the same location. In addition, Kalafina will open for the May 23 YK live in Sendai – the only venue without a solo Kalafina concert preceding.

Kalafina 2nd Album “Red Moon”

A few hours ago Sony announced the details of the 2nd Kalafina album, titled Red Moon 🙂
Some of the new songs of the album will be I have a dream (which was rumoured to be released as single) that will be main theme of the Eve no Jikan, as well as the main theme song of the online game 信長の野望 (Nobunaga no Yabou). The confirmed old songs to be included are Lacrimosa, storia, progressive and Hikari no Senritsu.
