Quiet Night~Re-Tracks single & Madoka Magica movies BD set coverart

According to JVC’s web shop, as well as other online stores, Fields of Hope ~Retracks will be included in a 6 tracks maxi single along with the rearranged versions of 2 other Gundam Seed Destiny character songs, Quiet Night~Re-Tracks, and EMOTION ~ReTracks, and their respective Karaoke. The single will be titled Quiet Night~Re-Tracks (“Quiet Night C.E. 73” is an upbeat version of “Shizuka na Yoru ni”). From the credits listed in the webshop we can be almost sure that only “Fields of Hope ~Retracks” will be rearranged by Kajiura-san.

In other news, the Madoka Magica movies website , as well as online stores, have updated with the coverart for the Limited and Regular Editions of the Blu-ray set, contaniing the 2 movies. Remember that the Original Soundtrack by Yuki Kajiura will be included only in the Limited Edition one as bonus disc, costing 11000 Yen. [EDIT] Aniplex US will also release the movies for the other countries too. There will be Collector’s Edition and Standard Edition. The Collectors edition will come with Original Soundtrack CD, an English translation of the booklet and a postcard. Both editions will also include a Japanese language audio track and subtitles in Japanese, English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean. The films will be available to customers in the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Central and South America, and release date will be July 30, 2013 More info on ANN.

Sword Art Online gets North American release, Eve no Jikan international BD

Aniplex US has announced that the Sword Art Online anime will be releases in US and Canada in 4 BD sets and 4 DVD ones, English & Spanish subtitled/English dubbed, with Japanese audio still available. The BD set 1 (Aincrad Part 1) and 3 (Fairyland part 1) will come with 1 Original Soundtrack CD each (OST 1, 2 by Yuki Kajiura). Each Blu-ray Box will retail for US$112.98 but will have a store price of US$89.98. Each DVD set will retail for US$49.98 but will have a store price of US$39.98. It was also announced that the series will start airing on Toonami block starting this August. More info on crunchyroll and Anime News Network.

In other news, the creators of the Eve no Jikan movie (for which Kalafina sung I have a dream) decided a BD release in US and Europe. The BD release will be region-free and will include “Time of Eve: The Movie” with English dub, multiple subtitles (English, French, Italian, German and Spanish), bonus video features such as interviews with the main cast and director Yasuhiro Yoshiura (with subtitles), a 40-page English-language art book, and eight postcards for those who purchase the film through the Kickstarter campaign. Kalafina ACen concert setlist & reports

Last weekend (May 17 and 18, 2013) Kalafina were invited as Guests of Honor at Chicago’s “Anime Central” (ACen) anime convention, where they performed at Rosemont Theatre on May 17 and held a Kalafina panel and signing (autograph) session on May 18. A number of CPM members gone at the convention and reported back 🙂 Here’s the setlist:

Yuki Kajiura Live vol #10 Kaji Fest setlist & Fields of hope ~ReTracks

Yesterday the big concert happened. Yuki Kajiura, Kalafina, FictionJunction, Yuuka, Asuka, and guests Hanae Tomaru, Eri Itou, Yuri Kasahara, Emily Bindiger, Remi Tanaka, the musicians and guest accordionist Sato Yoshiaki and flutist Rie Akagi, filled a 5 hours concert performing 53 songs, most of them previously seen again but performed with awesome vocal combinations! CPM members Kugayama, Hatouchan, yuki.n, meerkat, Kagaribi no Hanabira were there and reported details on which singers sung each song, and more. It was reported that cameras were recording the concert, so we can start praying it comes out on BD 🙂

In other news, in this week’s GUNDAM SEED DESTINY HD REMASTER episode (7) was featured a “Re-tracks” ver of “Fields of Hope” by Rie Tanaka (composed by Yuki Kajiura), called Fields of hope ~ReTracks. We’re awaiting to see what will be the coupling song, if it will be released as single, like it happened with Anna ni issho datta no ni and Akatsuki no Kuruma.

    Since news has been a little quiet, I thought I’d make a post about something I think many visitors here don’t know about yet – a project to fansub video clips of favorite artists! Currently led by tsubasa, Varete, aki, Equalizer, and arqnohikari, they’ve put out an impressive list of interviews, MC clips, and documentaries that can be seen here! (And at Varete’s youtube channel)

    Here’s an example of their work: a 40 minute interview with Yuki Kajiura from 2010. Watch it, check out the rest of their amazing work, and maybe volunteer your own talents to their initiative!
