Today it was announced that FictionJunction’s song “Kanata”for the PMMM Walpurgin no Kaiten movie will be released as a single, c/w Lighthouse (Madoka Magica Exedra theme). The physical release of the single will be September 2, 2026 while it will also come out on streaming platforms on August 28, same day as the release of the movie in Japan.
There will be RE and LE but the LE somehow has double price (?). Also there doesnt seem to be any short of karaoke or off-vocals like in the old days.

In other news, there are reports of yet another new project where Kajiura is involved as she was mentioned in an Anime Expo PV about RE:BEL ROBOTICA to be in charge of theme/insert song. But we wait for futher news on this.

Last but not least, according to reports from goers at Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#22 〜precious pieces〜, the new bgm song for Magic Knights Reyearth was also performed. (thanks to grunty and esteban82)
