Title:
The Sky High Wind Sings”
Kanji | Romaji | English |
---|---|---|
doushite sora wa konna ni aokute nanimo kanashimi o shiranu you ni itsumo tamerawazu ashita e to kuzureochiru |
why is the sky so blue as if it knows nothing of kindness? we tumble towards the hesitating future |
inochi wa tarinai mama umarete kuru no ne itami ga mitasu mono mo aru no ne kakeochita kokoro ni anata ga furete |
coming to life is never enough things that appease pain also exist, right? you touch my broken and fallen heart |
futari de yuku mirai wa kegarenonai tsuyosa de |
the future we’re going towards is unblemished strength |
sora wa takaku kaze wa utau yume o miteta yorokobi e to hito wa itsuka tadoritsukeru kodomo no hitomi de anata wa shinjita soba ni iru yo kooritsuita mori o nukete sono hitomi ga sekai no nageki ni mayowanu you ni |
the sky high wind sings you believed with the eyes of a child that someday, people will finally be able to reach the joy they dreamt of i am by your side as you escape the forest you were frozen to so that those eyes of yours will never be fazed by the world’s anguish |
doushite todokanai hikari dake ga itsumo naniyorimo mabushii tadashisa de kanawanai ashita e to hito o sabaku |
why does the unreachable light alone judge people with radiant righteousness as it heads to the unfulfilled tomorrow? |
tsumetai senaka ni sotto furete mita sekai no yasashisa o shinjinai hito dakara dare yori mo yasashikatta |
i tried to softly touch your cold back but because you are a person who doesn’t believe in the world’s kindness who were you more friendly than? |
ikite ita yo mirai e sora ni kaze o nokoshite |
i was alive as i headed towards the future i left the wind in the sky behind |
yume wa doko ni nemuru no darou itsuka daremo inakunatta kono kishibe ni yosete kaesu hikari no kakera ni nareru to shinjita yami ni kaeru omoi-tachi ga moetsukiteku sono akari o shirube ni sekai wa mata yume o miru |
i wonder where dreams sleep someday, when everyone has left will they come near to this bank of the river and restore it? my thoughts that i believed that could become light fragments return to the darkness and are burning out as i mark that light, the world will dream again |
sora wa takaku kaze wa utau anata ga mita yume no kioku sono sakebi ga yasashii kodama o kaeshite iru yo |
the sky high wind sings the memory of a dream’s cry that you have seen is returning as a kind echo |

Also thanks to KP-X for her help in translation.
I think she is the one who sings the “ooooo”/ “aaaaa” in the chorus..
Okay, is it me, or are the translations inaccurate? .___.
@ rishi: Nope, its Akiko Noda (look at the top), @ Nijii: That’s strange, this translation is the result of the collab between the 4 members that know best Japanese in the forum, if you have any objection please post it here http://forum.canta-per-me.net/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3364&start=15
MOST BEAUTIFULLY HEARTBREAKING SONG I’VE EVER ENCOUNTERED ON THIS SITE
Simple but very nice melody and beautiful lyrics. Wish it was arranged by Kajiura and sung by Keiko. I think it would become one of her most powerful ballad.
Seems the translation is really a bit inaccurate. The structure of the sentences and words are themselves difficult, not to mention the habitual omission of subjects and objects in the language, as well as the poetic rearrangement of phrases…
You can provide you own if you want 🙂
