暗闇の中で睦み合う
絶望と未来を
哀しみを暴く月灯り
冷たく照らしてた
Kurayami no naka de mutsumiau
Zetsubou to mirai o
Kanashimi o abaku tsukiakari
Tsumetaku terashiteta
The moonlight, which exposes sadness
coldly illuminated
despair and the future
that are friendly with each other within the darkness
君のくれた
秘密を標に
蒼い夜の静けさを行く
Kimi no kureta
himitsu o shirube ni
Aoi yoru no shizukesa o yuku
Turning the secret
that you gave me into a sign,
I go through the silence of the pale night
Lacrimosa
遠く砕けて消えた
眩しい世界を
もう一度愛したい
瞳の中に
夢を隠して
汚れた心に
涙が堕ちて来るまで
Lacrimosa
Tooku kudakete kieta
Mabushii sekai o
mou ichido aishitai
Hitomi no naka ni
yume o kakushite
Yogoreta kokoro ni
Namida ga ochite kuru made
Tearful,
once more, I want to love
the glaringly bright world
that shattered in the distance
and vanished
Hide your dream in your eyes
until tears come falling
onto your sullied heart

幻の馬車は闇を分け
光のある方へ
夢という罠が僕たちを
焔(ほむら)へ誘う
Maboroshi no basha wa yami o wake
Hikari no aru hou e
Yume to iu wana ga boku-tachi o
Homura e izanau
The phantom carriage parts the darkness
and goes toward where the light is
The trap known as dreams
lures us toward the flames
空の上の無慈悲な神々には
どんな叫びも届きはしない
Lacrimosa…
Sora no ue no mujihi na kamigami ni wa
Donna sakebi mo todoki wa shinai
Lacrimosa…
No shout of any sort will reach
the merciless gods above the sky
Tearful…
(morte miyadi adore mitutos
iyami akrita miya diya gloria)
(morte miyadi adore mitutos
iyami akrita miya diya gloria)
(morte miyadi adore mitutos
iyami akrita miya diya gloria)
僕等は燃えさかる薪となり
いつかその空を焼き尽くそう
Bokura wa moesakaru takigi to nari
Itsuka sono sora o yakitsukusou
We’ll be the blazing firewood
and seem to burn away the sky someday
(canta miya
lacrimosa dies illa)
(canta miya
lacrimosa dies illa)
(canta miya
that tearful day)
Lacrimosa
ここに生まれて落ちた
血濡れた世界を
恐れずに愛したい
許されるより
許し信じて
汚れた地上で
涙の日々を数えて
Lacrimosa
Koko ni umarete ochita
Chinureta sekai o
osorezu ni aishitai
Yurusareru yori
yurushi shinjite
Yogoreta chijou de
Namida no hibi o kazoete
Tearful,
I want to fearlessly love
the blood-soaked world
That I was born in
Rather than being forgiven,
forgive and believe in me
Count the number of lachrymose days
On the sullied earth

Thank you for translating the Kajiurago part! I’ve been trying to look for lyrics with that part of the song for months. I’d just like to say something about one of the Kajiurago parts. The line that you wrote as “Lacrimosa dies ilda” might actually be sung as “Lacrimosa dies illa”, as it is a supposed allusion to Mozart’s Requiem Lacrymosa. I don’t think it is a coincidence that Kajiura would add the first line of the requiem to Lacrimosa. Thanks for taking the time to read this. 🙂

  2. murrue02 says:

i also think that our lacrimosa here is an allusion to mozart’s requiem coz yuki is a classical music fan after all ^^

  3. Mion says:

I also think it’s supposed to be “Lacrimosa dies illa” as well as the beginning sounds like “Canta mia”

  4. Tetsuhiro says:

here is my other version of Kajiurago in Lacrimosa.

    Lacrimosa
    (kajiurago Part)
    by Kalafina

    canta mia
    santa krishina kami dari yubi
    magia ni chia

canta mia kana iki sato chieta ima ai ga
    canta mia kana iki sato
chieta ima ai iya ni doche itta

lacrimosa il tratus ala mia deus ella mi
    ameha kiri la kita storia

    canta mi iya…

    lacrimosa dies illa

canta mia kana iki sato chieta ima ai ga
    canta mia kana iki sato
chieta ima ai iya ni doche itta

    canta mia…
    ques la amor…

    ^^;

Wow, Kajiura Yuki composed THIS??? When I saw it on Kuroshitsuji I swooned, her work is so gorgeous. I didn’t know she had her own little language! Haha i looked at the lyrics to L.A. from El Cazador de la Bruja, and I was like; this isn’t spanish…italian? LATIN???? I had to do some research 😛 this collaboration is stupendeous.

  6. Adiey says:

Here of my version of kajiurago..

    Canta Mia

    Santa Krisna kavita rilgi
    Madia diltia…

Canta mia kamari dista dolche ga
    Dilta amira
Canta mia kamari dista dolche ga
    Dilta amira di noche ita…

Morsa viri aldus adobe mara vikos
il lavi are afiri aditas gloria… ahaaa….

    Canta mia
    Lacrimosa dies illa

Canta mia kamari dista dolche ga
    Dilta amira
Canta mia kamari dista dolche ga
    Dilta amira di noche ita…

    Canta mia…
    Kesna aa….

But we will never know what it is actually.. seem yuki-san never put any of real kajiurago in her songs lyrics.

  7. nena says:

speaking about kajiurago version, I also fix it by myself. try this one:

    canta miya
santa Krishna kamida liyagi mahiya ridia

canta via kanari Krista docheta iyo ahiyo
canta via kanari Krista docheta miya ariya di noche ita

    morte miyadi adore matitos
    itami akrita firi adita moria

    canta miya
    lacrimosa dies illa

canta via kanari Krista docheta iyo ahiyo
canta via kanari Krista docheta miya ariya di noche ita

    canta miya
    esta aa…

  8. rhea says:

    ‘Lacrimosa dies illa’
it does actually have a meaning… if i’m not wrong, Lacrimosa dies illa means Tearful that day…

    it’s latin… if i’m not wrong, again..

  9. george1234 says:

    Yup that one is latin.

  10. aki says:

did not realise they were saying “lacrimosa dies illa” 😮
I would say it’s “that tearful day” though :)

  11. rhea says:

it’s the same anyway, right? that tearful day(active) tearful that day(passive)

  12. aki says:

active and passive only apply to verbs, and lacrimosa is an adjective ^^
when you say “tearful that day” it makes it sound like someone was tearful on that day, and I think it’s supposed to be describing the day, so “that tearful day”

  13. rhea says:

well, I think it just sound like ‘that day is filled with tear’ or something like that…? oh, IDK and honestly, IDC. If we continue this, i might just be the opera actress like you usually sees in the Facebook. okay, done and done. no hard feelings. ^^

  14. aki says:

I guess there are many ways to translate the same thing ^^

  15. rhea says:

yeah, maybe, well, I myself not that good in English since it’s not my main language.

  16. Lacrimosa is the first ever song i heard by Kalafina….it’s also the first Japanese song i ever heard….perhaps i wouldn’t have fallen in love with Japanese music if it wasn’t for Kuroshitsuji….<3….

  17. george1234 says:

    fixed it for you 🙂

  18. KateMichaelis says:

    Thanks….:)

  19. Lady Mimiko says:

Thanks for uploading the letter … served me a lot! but … I have a small review …
nobody noticed yet but … you see, is “wo” no “o” … (I speak Spanish, so I must have a lot of mistakes in English, is translated by google) … the truth is that I always find the same mistakes in the lyrics ^ ^ thanks for reading and again, thank you very much for uploading

  20. Nicole says:

I’m listening to the song while following along to the lyrics, and it isn’t the same

  21. Zeke says:

Groooan. Whoever rendered “namida” as “lachrymose” was being ENTIRELY too cute. 🙂

  22. Adiey says:

after observing hikaru’s lips motion by singing the bridge part in original mv it mostly like she is saying:

“-mosa viri aldus adobe mara dutos
el lavi a mère, afiri avitas gloria.”

somehow it still mystery what actually the exact lyrics and we still dont get it even after disband.

  23. george1234 says:

Lips reading isnt a trustworthly method for finding what words are said and is even made fun of in comedy shows. In videoclips the singer is pretending to sing while the whole song plays on playback (just look at some making off videos like for FJ Yuuka) and they also choose various clips for the same stanza so im not if its accurate to consider videoclips a good source for that.
