Today was the final day of the Kalafina Consolation Live Tour (Hall/House) with the concert called 「Kalafina LIVE TOUR 2013 “Consolation”」Special Final held at Tokyo International Forum Hall A, and was announced that there will be released a DVD/BD of this performence. There will be more details in the future 🙂 (P.S: Its confirmed that in the concert apart from the regular musicians there were also a cellist, a flutist and an accordion player 😀 )

There was also announced that Kalafina will do 3 “strings” lives this year too

Finally, tomorrow (August 6) is Yuki Kajiura’s birthday, as well as her 20th anniversary as music composer. You can send her your wishes via her mailform or twitter. Our present to her will be delayed for a few days since a key contributor had no internet in her area for some days, but we will defitenely send it once its done! 🙂

The single for Kalafina’s new song for Kara no Kyoukai Mirai Fukuin (Future Gospel) was announced! It will be titled “Alleluia” and will come out in 2 editions, Regular Edition and Limited Anime Edition. The AE will contain Kara no Kyoukai special booklet and Kara no Kyoukai illustrations. The single will be released on October 2, 2013! There will be no DVD with PV this time.

To get an idea about the song , Kajiura-san wrote yesterday in her blog:

The song for the movie, “Kara no Kyoukai Mirai Fukuin”, which will be releasing this fall, will be sung by Kalafina. It’s a song that came to me (lit. fell into my head) as I finished the last scenes from the early footage of Mirai Fukuin (laughs).

As I listened to the dialogue/lines from the last scene, the first lines for the lyrics just popped out. And as I thought, “Ahh… I want to start the song with these words”, Keiko-chan just suddenly started singing in my head. I thought, “Oh no!”, scrambled to grab the score sheet (^_^:), and wrote the song whilst chasing after the melody flowing in my head. The lyrics are more or less (half) as they were at the time. There’s no mistake that this song was the quickest to be completed in Kalafina’s history.

So, it’s a really simple song but it’s something that feels very right to me. I hope that, as a song for Mirai Fukuin, it is something that everyone will enjoy!

Today was announced at the Kara no Kyoukai official site that Kalafina are going to do the Ending Theme song for the last Kara no Kyoukai movie “Mirai Fukuin” that’s going to start screening on Japanese theaters on September 28, 2013. Kalafina in the past did the ending theme songs for all kara no kyoukai movies (1-7 & epilogue).

So this, along with the song for the 3rd Madoka Magica movie (see below), makes 2 new Kalafina songs! ^_^

A trailer for the 3rd Madoka Magica movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Hangyaku no Monogatari (Rebellion) recently aired on Japanese TV. The video features a short new BGM 😀

According to online shops, the 4th single of the reunion series will be titled Tears ~ ReMix 2013 and will also contain “~ ReMix 2013” versions of Mika Arisaka’s Life Goes on and See-Saw’s Kimi wa boku ni niteiru! The description available at the victor entertainment shop, explains that this time, instead of re-arranging the music and using the same vocals (as was done in the “Re-tracks” singles), it will be the vocals that will be re-recorded and will be used the same music as in the original versions. This description is for “Tears” by Komine Lisa, but we expect it to happen to the other two songs as well. according to gamers shop, Kajiura Yuki will write (new) lyrics for Life Goes On (they were originally by Mika Arisaka) (look at ‘edit’ below). It is also confirmed that Tony Volante, engineer that worked with Kajiura-san in her “Fiction” albums, will be also involved in this single’s production.
