utatte hoshii shizuka na ai no kotoba naite ita no wa anata no sei janakute yoru no naka ni kiete itta awayuki ni wakare wo tsugeta no |
what I want to sing are quiet words of love when I was crying back then it wasn’t your fault you said farewell to me in the light snow that was vanishing into the night |
yami no naka kara kikoeta mune no kodou ga yatto itami wo watashi ni oshiete kureta kono kizu ni kuchizukete hakanaku fureau yubi wo hanasanaide ite zutto |
from within the darkness, your audible heartbeat at last taught pain to me you kissed these wounds of mine let’s not separate our vainly touching fingers ever |
konna ni akarui sekai he kimi ga watashi wo tsurete kita mabushikute mabushikute nanimo mienai hikari no naka |
so you brought me along like this to a colorful world it’s dazzling, so radiant that I can see nothing in the light |
tsuyoku dakishimete ite kogoeta toiki wo wakeai anata to watashi no nagori no yuki ga tokete |
embracing strongly we share frozen sighs melt the lingering snow that belongs to both you and I |
sore wa yume no you na hibi no naka anata ga waratteru sore dake de ii tada soba ni iru kara |
it’s like a dream within each day you’re laughing and that alone is wonderful because you’re just by my side |
mou hitori janai zutto futari de iku mahoroba |
I’m not alone anymore forever I’ll be in the beautiful land that we’re both journeying to |
utatte hoshii kimi no boku no yoru no asa no |
I want to sing your, my the night’s, the dawn’s |

I fell in love with this song…
(sorry for my poor English)
[utatte hoshii, shizuka na ai no kotoba]
I think……it means “I want you sing quiet words of love”.
When I first listened to this, I feel like ‘na, nothing special’, and the second time ‘when has it become THIS good?’ lol
By the way, can anybody tell me what’s Seventh Heaven? Like this song is kinda named after what (is it a theater play or a novel or something else)?
@ari: this song was made specifically for the 7th movie of Kara no Kyoukai. If you’ve watched the movie, you’d get the song much more. I assume you haven’t watch the movies, so I’ll recommend you to watch those (from the 1st up till finish). FYI in case you don’t know, ALL the movies’ soundtrack are by Kalafina.
The entrance sounds the same with “Overture”, especially the first line of this song—“Utatte hoshii”.
@ari – the phrase “seventh heaven” originates from the Muslim belief that there are seven levels of heaven, the last of which being where God and the Angels reside. As such, the phrase is used in reference to the final stage of eternal bliss. In American pop culture, the phrase is often used to describe a state of intense happiness or bliss. 🙂
Such a peaceful song. This song and the album “Seventh Heaven” is my favourite Kalafina album
The establishment of Kalafina was a success for Yuki and the vocalists
This song (and few others from Kalafina as well) was really comforting when I was 13-14 and felt really alone and depressed. It has such a soft and warm vibe than helped me stop overthinking and sleep a little. Since then I always have a nostalgic and fuzzy feeling when I hear them. I could never thank Kalafina enough for making such an amazing song.
I was alive here… I existed here…
