Translator Note for the Title: The title of this song is coming from this yojijukugo (A yojijukugo is this):
百花繚乱
The top line: “A situation where various kinds of flowers are blossoming in many colors. Also a situation where many excellent creative people are assembled.” Literally the yojijukugo means “a thousand flowers blooming profusely”. Kajiura sensei substituted the kanji for “flower” (花) with the kanji for “fire” (火), and in this context they are pronounced the same.

夢を見て僕らは泣いた 涙を持たぬ筈の 鋼の心で 運命(さだめ)を思った 違う夜明けの色を祈り |
yume wo mite bokura wa naita namida wo motanu hazu no hagane no kokoro de sadame wo omotta chigau yoake no iro wo inori |
We dreamed and cried, inside our steel hearts that were supposed to contain no tears. We thought about our fate We prayed for the dawn to have a different color. |
何を守る為にまた(今を) 消えた時を彷徨って 滅びへと駆け抜ける 光放つ刃 |
nani wo mamoru tame ni mata (ima wo) kieta toki wo samayotte horobi he to kakenukeru hikari hanatsu yaiba |
What did we try to protect when we wandered again inside the disappeared time (now) We run onward toward destruction with swords emanating light. |
あの時消えて行った 紅い虹の彼方には(ずっと) 君が見た世界がまだ 目醒めを知らず天にあって |
ano toki kieteitta akai niji no kanata ni wa (zutto) kimi ga mita sekai ga mada mezame wo shirazu ten ni atte |
The world you witnessed beyond a red rainbow That vanished some time ago (always) Still awaits, unwaking, within the heavens. |

We, who stayed behind, are surely linking together a rotten chain A blade is palely inhabiting the light of the last night that we saw with our own eyes in the chain’s last fragment [dia ia] |
守りたいと思うのは 君が夢を見た世界 光へと駆け抜けた その道の眩しさ |
mamoritai to omou no wa kimi ga yume wo mita sekai hikari he to kakenuketa sono michi no mabushisa |
What we think we want to protect is the world you dreamed of We ran and escaped towards the light in the brightness of that street |
思いを残したまま 心は散って行くけれど(優しく) 焼け堕ちた道を辿り 数多の夢が今も空を焦がす いつか焔は天に届く |
omoi wo nokoshita mama kokoro wa chitteyuku keredo (yasashiku) yakeochita michi wo tadori amata no yume ga ima mo sora wo kogasu homura wa ten ni todoku |
Hearts scatter with their feelings still left behind, but (kindly) several dreams follow the burned-down street and burn the sky even now the flames go up to the sky |

* = heard at same time as regular stanza.
I came here to see the lyrics and this is the first time I read the English translation.
Nice translation as always, though, the translation for “sono ‘michi’ no mabushisa” was rather off.
Michi was translated “street” while I think it should be more accurate if it’s “way” or “path”.
So I kind of loled there.
Nice job though.
Now every time this song played in my playlist, i cried
Katsugeki episode 10, 11 really broke my heart.
