Kanji Romaji English
Shizukesa to yasuragi ga
tooku de maneku kara
Mou sukoshi saki ni made
yukesou na ki ga suru
Tada te wo toriatte
kogoritsuku yoru wo koete
Because peace and serenity
beckon from far away,
I feel like we can go
ahead just a little more,
Just holding hands,
crossing this frozen night.
Kizutsuite utsubuita
toki ni deatta kara
Setsunasa ga akunareba
hanarete yuku you de
Yogoreta mizu no ue
dakara tsuki no kage ga
kirei de
Since I met you,
wounded with your head down,
It seem’d you would let go of me
if sadness went away.
It’s upon the soiled water,
that’s why the moon’s shadow
is beautiful.
Sore wa kanashimi no
kataru monogatari
Koi to yobu koto ni
mada tameratteiru
This is a story
told by sorrow,
we’re still hesitating
to call it love.
Itetsuita yoru ni
chikaku naru hoshi wa
Kimi ga iru yume wo
itsumade misetekureru darou
On this frozen night,
When the stars become closer,
How longer will they show me
the dream where you’re here?
Omoide wo nomikonde
sora no ao wa
fukaku
Nukumori no kureru mono
te ni hairanai mono
Nani wo wakeatte
nani wo sutete yuku
koko ni
Taking in these memories,
the blue color of the sky
reaches deep inside
What the warmth gives
is something I can’t obtain
What should I share,
and what should I throw away,
at this place?
Konomama futari de
itetsuita sora no
Kanata he yukeru to
douka shinjiteite
If we’re together like this,
believe that, somehow,
we can travel beyond
that frozen sky
Dareyori mo chikaku,
dokomade mo tooku
Kimi ga iru yume wa
mou kesenai kioku
dakara
Closer than anyone,
No matter how far,
Because this dream where you’re here
is a memory that I can’t erase
anymore.
Sore wa kanashimi no
kataru monogatari
Koi to yobu koto ni
mada tameratteiru
This is a story
told by sorrow,
we’re still hesitating
to call it love.
Itetsuita yoru ni
chikaku naru hoshi ni
Kimi ga iru yume wo
mada mitsumeteitai dake de
On this frozen night,
When the stars become closer,
I only wish to keep gazing
at the dream where you’re here.

Hmm made another observation through Fictionjunction’s cover of this song in YK’s Elemental vol #11 tour again — the beginning and ending chants seem to be:
Calling you in quiet lonely night

This was easier to make out than some of her other songs. Nice song, I’m glad FJ did a cover of one of her older works…though I’m still dying to see a live of “image theme of xenosaga II”

I guess sometimes Kajiura-san doesn’t want to publish all the official lyrics; maybe she wants the listener to interpret on his/her own? 😉

You can listen to the live version of ‘image theme of xenosaga II’ but only in audio since its from one of her cds

    Kanata he yukeru to
    should be
    Kanata e yukeru to
