The soundtracks being bundled with the DVD is a constant BUMMER. I don’t want to buy the show, I just want the soundtrack.
But they do it for that exact reason, so that the ones who want the music pay for the anime in order to boost the bddvd sales. After some time they do release music collections” when the dvds stop selling, on popular shows. Thery did it for Knk madoka and now SAO, and also some other anime i know.
Yeah, it’s obviously a marketing ploy, but it just sucks for consumers like me, who aren’t willing to pay for the DVD
I feel just like you. Also something else that’s pain is that the soundtrack takes twice the time to reach us, since instead of releasing right after the anime stops airing, they release it, 6 months after the end =_=
