Flying Dog has updated with more info for the new FictionJunction album! First its title will be「elemental」 and will be released on January 22, 2014. It will have 13 songs in total, sadly there will be only 3 new songs and 1 self-cover, confirmed songs are:

So, considering that Yakusoku is already on the tracklist, that is not the self-cover, although it’s a FictionJunction YUUKA song…
It’s terrible news that there’s only 3 new songs…;o;
well, and it seems to be true that FJY is absorbed in FJ. Also, I think this album is result of Kajiura’s hobby or something, as she said she’ll work on FJ when she gets spare times.
^ Yuuka is absorbed but is still independent in a sense as she gets to do own lives as FictionJunction Yuuka, instead of doing single FJ live with OST FJ and FJY songs inside.
I am really happy to know that finally a new FictionJunction’s album will be released and will contain both the tracks of the FictionJunction’s singles and new songs. Personally, I prefer album to single format.
From my point of view, it is really difficult for lady Kajiura to create new songs for FictionJunction as many of her singers have solo carreer (Yuuka Nanri, Kaori Oda, Yuuki Aira). That’s why she is concentrating on Kalafina band.
^ I dont think making 1 song for each is blocked from the solo careers, the main reason is that she’s currently not focused on FJ, or is using all her inspiration to make Kalafina songs (which inspiration doesnt seem to be endless considering that even some Kalafina songs have similarities with each other). Also Yuriko has some sort of solo career too, but she managed to attend to all of Yuki’s projects.
I’m kind a disappointed with only 3 new songs but the tracklist is okie for me, I mean I like the choice of songs included in the album…Yuki why are you so lazy? T_T
Let’s look at this news in positive side… All the side-b of their singles are included so it has a possibility it will be included at their live tour. So now, we can have the live of Nohara, Hitorigoto, and Hitomi Chikara.
And Yakusoku is one of my faves song of FJ Yuuka.
I’m more excited about the live tour. Haha! So let’s hope for a blue-ray/DVD released!

I can’t help but get slightly offended by this comment.
true, my heart sank a little as I found out that only three new songs will be in the new album of FJ, but I think Kajiura-san is NOT lazy at all. come on, she has LOTS of work to do this year… making soundtracks for PMMM Movie, new songs for Kalafina, doing live performances with FJ and other projects… I think it’s awesome that she still cares about FJ fans by promising a second album at the beginning of 2014.
^ It slipped your attention that she has finished both the Madoka and KnK movie some months now, so she did had some time, but ok she has to work for the drama she’s composing for. But when she goes and does 3 singles per year for Kalafina + album with at least 5 new songs per time, why neglect FJ who release only 1 single per year ? Their album deserved some more new songs no matter how you look at it. Lets hope the 3 new songs will be good.

I don’t think that she is lazy or whatever you are saying, Kajiura-san created FJ to show her music (specially soundtracks) on a live stage, they were not a band project like Kalafina. I mean, I would like to see more than 3 new songs but that is not her purpose for FJ.. Well, it’s my point of vew
lazy or not… it is still a disappointment.
@tsukiakari Lazy in making more FicyionJunction songs, but I didn’t say that I don’t love her anymore. I have the right to be as disappointed as everyone else right? and FJ was not created solely to sing OSTs during lives, they wouldn’t have an album otherwise.
let’s hope so that the 3 new song will not be disappointment for us. I hope it will be more stunning than stone cold and eternal blue
i prefer hitorigoto over another song like eternal blue.
