Yuki Kajiura’s Interview at NHK World’s “Imagine-nation”

Posted

Today, NHK World‘s Imagine-nation show, one that talks about anime, games, and their creators, featured an interview of Yuki Kajiura in English, probably taken from the time she and FJ went to L.A. for AnimeExpo 2012. george1234 has recorded and upload it on Youtube. Enjoy!

Has she actually refereed to kajiurago as kajiurago, without being prompted?

I’ve not watched too many interviews (nor did I watch that one properly), but I’ve noticed that she usually just says zougo.

^ Yes she has, in MCs of live events (I think its on one of her DVDs). On this video the interviewers somehow misunderstood the language’s name and called them “kajiuraiz” :uh:

Oh Thanks you george1234! Yes it’s strange that they are called Kajiuraiz instead Kajiurago… at least they could say Kajiuran.

I think they call it “kajiura-ese”, which is just a translation of “kajiura-go”, same as Kajiura-n etc. And if I remember correctly, Kajiura has said during the live concert were japanese lyrics were “banned” (which had therefore lots of kajiura-go songs) that “apparently people call it kajiura-go”. I think she usually says something along these lines, “the so-called kajiura-go”, “what people call kajiura-go” etc.

Ah, Minikui, I thought it was like that. Thanks.

I am so glad that I had a chance to know her music in this life.
It is one of the greatest thing of my experiences.
and I hope I can meet her someday for real…
    Thanks for the video.
